Partner Universities

There are three dual degree programs at Middle East Technical University Ankara campus with two partner SUNY universities. “Teaching English as a Foreign Language/ Liberal Studies” program is coordinated between METU and SUNY New Paltz. “Business Administration” and “Global and International Affairs” programs are coordinated between METU and SUNY Binghamton. Duration of the Programs

METU-SUNY Dual Diploma Programs are all 4-year undergraduate programs. In "Global and International Affairs" and "Business Administration" programs, students spend their first and third years at METU, second and fourth years at SUNY Binghamton. In "Teaching English as a Foreign Language/ Liberal Studies" program, students spend their first and second years at METU; their third year and two summer schools at SUNY New Paltz, and come back to METU for their fourth year.

Graduates of Dual Diploma Programs receive B.S. or B.A. degrees from both METU and SUNY.

Tuition & Fees

TUITION FEES FOR DUAL DEGREE PROGRAMS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS AT METU!

Tuition fee payments are made separately to each university. Dual diploma students pay the METU tuition in Turkish Lira when they are at METU (including the Prep year), and the SUNY tuition in US Dollars when they are at SUNY. Tuition fees for the 2017-2018 Academic Year are as follows:

These are the annual tuition fees only, and do not cover living expenses such as food, accommodation, books etc. Expected cost of living in Ankara is approximately 300-400 US Dollars per month, while such expenses amount to approximately 15.000 - 20.000 US Dollars per academic year at SUNY.

Language Requirements

The language of instruction is English at both METU and SUNY. Students who do not meet the language proficiency criteria upon enrollment are required to register in the English Preparatory Class at METU. Please be informed that requirements for exemption from the English Preparatory Class at METU differ from those of SUNY. In order to proceed to the SUNY campuses, students must submit the test scores listed below until the end of their 1st year (BAS and GIA) or 2nd years (TEFL).

Visas: Students accepted to Dual Diploma Programs are responsible for meeting the criteria for obtaining a student visa in order to proceed to their education at SUNY in USA.
